OUR COVID PROTOCOLS

 

Dear patient,


Please find below some protocols we would recommend in the interest of social distancing and the prevention of COVID-19 regarding your appointment.

Due to the extensive personal protective equipment (PPE),your dentist will be wearing, the communication between yourself and the dental staff will be very difficult, so please raise any queries you may have before your appointment on the number 01494 727013 and a clinician will call you back to discuss your concerns.


  1. We cannot accept cancellation at short notice; given each appointment will be for an extended time. Cancellations will only be accepted in the event of a COVID symptoms

  2. To limit unnecessary contact between yourself and the staff, you may be asked to pay over the phone prior to your appointment date, so please be aware that we may call you a few days in advance for this.

  3. Please bring with you a list of your current medication, and your own pen along to the appointment

  4. Please arrange your parking as the appointment may take longer than normal. You may be here longer than an hour

  5. Please do not arrive early for your appointment – please arrive as close to the time of your appointment as possible.

  6. There will be no need to wear a mask into the surgery, but you can do so if you wish

  7. We ask all patients to brush their teeth before attending

  8. The waiting room and toilet will be closed to all patients to avoid unnecessary contamination

  9. Please sanitise your hands using the unit at the bottom of the stairs upon arrival

  10. There will be clearly laid out social distancing tape for patients  

  11. We will be taking your temperature with a non-contact thermometer on arrival and will ask any patient with a fever to rearrange the appointment. Please feel free to check your own at home before attending

  12. Please do not bring any other individual to the appointment unless the patient in a minor, carer, or translator.

  13. You will be directed straight into a surgery upon your arrival

  14. Your appointment will be for the treatment that was discussed by the dentist and not for any other problem. If you require an extended treatment plan, we will contact you once we are able to offer a normal service; we would hope later in summer.

  15. Any treatment you receive may be limited in its longevity, especially if we have the unfortunate scenario of a second peak and subsequent lockdown

  16. After your appointment, please sanitise your hands again before you leave

  17. We would advise showering as soon as you return home
